a tempo

oh my, i am actually going to update my blog again. *shock* after, what, 3 months? haha okay this shall be a post that backdates all the way to june, cos i owe several things a post XD

170909: END OF EYAs – ions and molecules! :D
went gallivanting around orchard with xin and xiaowei :D and we spent 2 hours at kino! haha. and then for the exploration of ion (: and the 4 floors long escalator is kind of cool :D yay it felt so good to go out with friends and roam around without having to worry about homework and other such stuff (:

ion is kind of nice, in a way. and i like the way it looks.
---

100909: sweet sixteen :D
… or maybe not quite so sweet after all. seeing as how i spent it mugging ): and then mummy had to insist we go somewhere to celebrate my sixteenth birthday, which wasn’t exactly what i would have liked to do best. and then i had to dress up in some random dress which mummy had to choose for me ): sighs, she meant well, i suppose?...although not exactly what i would have wanted. but i think i shall have to be resigned to the fact that no one in my family really seems to know what i want most, which is quite a saddening thought. though i must say that’s also partly due to me never telling anyone what i want, i guess. and also perhaps it’s because of rachel’s voice with its megaphone-like qualities. :/

but that aside, i can’t really believe that i’m sixteen already! omg. o_0 haha but actually when you think about it, it’s not that unbelievable after all…like, plenty of people around me turned sixteen eons ago…

haha okay, nevermind.

but it was sweet enough, in a way. (:

and thank you to all those who wished me and/or gave me presents [hopefully this is in order]: xiaowei, xinxuan, swetha, leevoon, shona, brenda, celeste, dengqing, yifei, lanabel, tienli, wanjiun, yi-min, adriel, lishan, mr evans, jiaxuan, vivian, cynthia, kelly, miffie, tingwei, rachel, fangying, naijing, kezia and cat (:

thanks a lot for remembering (:

310809: aces day + teachers’ day celebrations (+ math ra exam part II)
quite fun, i guess. can’t believe i actually sweated during the workout D: probably cos of the high humidity. celebrations were quite nice, they usually are :D [i am reminded of mrs leslie’s BLA-thers in learning 2 years ago :D] and the house capts made pretty good emcees. class party was okay. there was food, though there wasn’t supposed to be. was suitably entertained during the back part where we played cat and mouse and made mr ow do a forfeit, ie sing a song to the snake on the projector :D OMG THAT PART WAS PRICELESS. IT WAS SO FUNNY :D :D :D

math was okay. haha i am not going to comment about it. hopefully mrs chew decides to accept mountains, that’s all.
---

190809: sl trip to rgps
went to rgp and did the presentation to the little p4s :D haha and we went and bought all the old familiar food from the canteen again! XD a pity we didn’t go find teachers but they were all having lessons :/ oh well, at least we saw zhonglaoshi who remembers me, and my name :D haha okay. and the security guard, who remembered us too (: hahaha i wish i’d gone back on teachers’ day, but then there was too much to do ):

and then there were a few very cute p2s who stared at us and began stage-whispering behind our backs and wondering [and very loudly too] if we were from rgps or not. and then i heard one girl go to her friend, “NO LAH NOT FROM RGPS ONE! you see their this thing right,” *gestures at her school badge* “it’s DIFFERENT from ours, they are from some other school” whereupon celeste and i nearly choked and dengqing gave us a glare that said “stop laughing now” :D

oh well, i suppose i’m glad the presentation went fine, at least? considering that everything was very last-minute and we chionged out the script in like, one day, because on the friday before the presentation mr ng said our presentation was not-very-engaging [haha i think i’m putting it in a nice way here] anyway, so we rushed out a script on saturday, edited on sunday and rehearsed on monday and tuesday. with that in view, i suppose the presentation went quite well after all. haha :D
---

070809: national day celebrations + trip to taonan/world vision
school celebrations were…not bad. but then i would have liked more songs. ): haha i don’t know why i like singalongs even when i don’t exactly sing very well. XD maybe it’s the atmosphere they provide, especially when classes stand hugging each other in circles and jump around during the chorus (: but it wasn’t a bad celebration. or maybe i was expecting worse because i thought it was going to be quite terrible situated in the parade square. heh. oh well, i’m glad to say i was proven wrong :D

then we went to tao nan, and xinxuan was supposed to come but didn’t =.= haha anyway, we brought the love loaves to tao nan, and on the way dengqing kept being scared that we’d get robbed or something -.- although it was like on a main road so i don’t think anyone would rob us in broad daylight?...especially not since there would be plenty of eye-witnesses. haha alright but nevermind, anyway we got to world vision unharmed, and delivered over the love loaves, and then we went to plaza sing and had lunch. and then celeste and dengqing went to watch up. sighs i wanted to go, too, but then i had piano lesson. ): oh well, maybe another time.
---

050809: chaos finals
i decline to comment. results: we got commendation, probably fourth place. my team knows why i decline to comment. and certain other people should know as well. but then again, as xin says, we have been through worse. well, at least, both xin and i have been through worse :P anyway, thank you my awesome team for all the hard work you put in for this (: and thanks to all our supporters too! :D

and i still maintain that the puns are cool. HA. :D

-she took route -1 to the animal safari
which, by the way, is imaginary.-

310709: rgco handover
…which i missed. a pity really, but congrats [haha okay i know it’s a bit late] to my dear juniors, yunan and michellin for becoming chair/v-chair, noodlefriend for becoming sl, tingwei for secretary, vivian for maintenance head, jiahui for sl, and all the rest for getting into comm. (: at least discrimination of a certain rather unreasonable nature didn’t have to apply to you, which is GOOD, cos it applied to me. [oh well but not that i really care, i’ve got more stuff to think about than whether i’m being discriminated against for extraneous petty reasons or not XD] but anyway that’s not the point. jiayou for next year! good luck! :D

on another note, though, i wonder if it was really worth missing handover for chaos. :/ oh well, what’s done is done, i suppose. and there will be plenty of time to crash prac with my batchmates in the near future (:
---

220709: harp exam
well, i passed quite presentably, at least. :D [and whether i deserve that score or not is another matter altogether :P] and of course it helped that the examiner was blur and didn’t really know much about the harp. :P he was a nice guy; he let us tune inside the room (: haha apparently he plays the harp too, a bit! o_0 we usually don’t get examiners who know how to play the harp, so it’s kind of unusual. (: but i think it’s really nice to have examiners who know like a little bit about the harp, enough so that they can appreciate how hard the song you’re playing is, yet not enough for them to know that you played a wrong note XD which is what happened in my case. but i suppose stage experience gives you the ability to cover up a wrong note pretty well :P

haha okay but nevermind, i have passed my exam with relatively presentable scores :D

130709: a midsummer’s evening
aka yo concert! :D

[okay shall try to remember details for this one although it happened something like 2 months ago – it’s my first esplanade concert]

left school early with fangying, effectively skipping philo. heh. and we ended up reaching esplanade really really early where there was practically no one around. then a random nice person opened a room for us to dump our stuff, which we did. then we went to marina and walked around. then we went back and fooled around for a bit before going to change and have rehearsal. and of course after phoon i was bored. so i took pictures. then i wandered further around the esplanade with charity cos we were both feeling bored since everyone else was at rehearsal. and then we went off for early dinner.

of course i finished dinner even before the rest even came down, but i got dragged off to the concourse place by fangying to eat. or rather, to watch the others eat. -_- i know we spent some time laughing at the 3 people who were making rather ridiculous poses for a camera. then we went back to the room and everyone went on this general phototaking spree where everyone took photos with everyone else. sadly, my camera ran out of memory. :/ but nevermind, i have the pics i want. (:

concert itself was okay. but phoon was, as a whole, pretty messy nonetheless. ): especially certain parts. but i shall not go into the details here. oh well, i suppose no one will say anything, cos it’s a commissioned work. heh. OH and remind me to get a proper seat the next time we have an esplanade concert. i was practically falling off the chair that i had. -.-

after phoon charity and i went off to kope reception and watch the performance from the tv screen outside. wienawski sounded fine, i think davin played pretty well. and brahms sounded okay from where i was listening. [although of course there were all sorts of weird noises going on in the background from reception at the same time so i wasn’t exactly listening properly.]

but all in all, i think it was quite a nice and fun concert. for me, anyway. or maybe it’s just because it’s my first esplanade one? :D especially now that i know more people than i did in march (:

okay i’m quite surprised at the amount of details i can remember. oh well, but since i’ve abandoned my blog for so long, i ought to put in the details, as a sort of compensation? haha okay maybe that doesn’t make sense. but that aside, i think i ought to remember the details for this one anyway, like, my first esplanade concert :D it’s definitely got some sentimental value, hahaha. [oh dear this is making me sound like some overly emotional, excessively sentimental freak and i am obviously not like that D:]

and this concert kind of made me think of certain things, but these things are better left unsaid, especially on my blog. oh well, let’s just say that i’ve realised that there’s more than one star in the sky [haha i wonder if anyone will understand the true meaning behind that phrase. but nevermind.] (:

yay photos! [erm, they were kind of koped off fangying's facebook. but then right, i helped take some of them anyway so i suppose it doesn't matter :D]

(:

yo!

:D

i like this photo. kind of obvious, the way i keep using it (:

290609: ayg opening ceremony
it was…amusing. it was the first day of school, and i believe i was late. but cos the first lesson was chem and dr ng was away somewhere, i didn’t really miss anything. went to ccab after school, then we went to the indoor stadium.

the actual thing was okay, i suppose. don’t really remember much of it now…it was quite some time ago :P except that daniel was being really high throughout and kept doing funny amusing stuff during the theme song. haha. and marches were messy :/ oh well, in any case everything was prerecorded. but then again, if i remember correctly, the messiness was more of due to the fact that we weren’t together with the recording, than not together as an orchestra.

oh but i remember during the repeat which was shown the next day the tv commentator did something amusingly silly :D
[yo was in the midst of william tell.]
commentator: “…and we hear the familiar sounds of johann strauss’ radetzky march…”

HAHAHA.

okay anyway. it ended shortly after that. and people began jumping off the stage to join in the partying and waving at the camera. alright, i shall dump in a few more photos and end off here, cos i simply cannot think of anything else interesting enough that happened.

from the same abovementioned source (:

from the ayg website this time. :D

230609: rgco june camp
[should try to remember details for this one too, it’s my last rgco june camp]

haha, it was pretty fun. a pity the second day got cancelled cos of h1n1, but the first day was pretty good nonetheless [well done june camp ics]. a few assorted games like a random pick-up-the-m&ms-game, some hopscotch thing and water bombs, which i didn’t play. i think it’s cos i forgot to bring a change of clothes. oops. so i spent that time in talking to dengqing and zhiqi in the canteen [although we were supposed to be in the netball courts] and then there was whacko in j block, which i remember quite well cos all my dear juniors made an attempt to sabotage me. i think it was not premeditated though. and they kept calling me back after i called them -_- funny why nobody said there was a rule against calling back. i thought there was supposed to be. ah well nevermind. the points system and the bidding for stuff was quite creative, too. anyway, rgco june camp wasn’t bad. just that, well, it wasn’t really as fun as it could have been. partly also cos the second day was cancelled as well. :/

六月六月,音乐音乐,跳跃跳跃,华乐华乐!

[haha or something to that effect. i may have mixed up the lines a bit. the lame june camp cheer]
---

okay. i think that’s it. well, that’s all the important stuff that happened in the past…erm, the past 3 months. yay okay now i have updated :D
